My name is Geraldine, I am a fully qualified family celebrant based in sunny Spain, although my inner gypsy ensures I keep travelling far and wide for work and pleasure.
Born in Scotland , I have have lived in many wonderful countries and speak fluent Turkish, and am constantly improving my Spanish.
I am happy to travel to most countries and will create bilingual ceremonies if requested.
I believe your day should be as special as you are and should represent you as a couple.
Helping you make sure your day represents your unique story is what I do best.
Having written for theatre and an extensive career as an English teacher, I can advise on creating personal vows meaningful for you as a couple. With your input as much or as little as you are comfortable with, I will design your special vows retelling your unique story and capturing your personalities.
Finding readings and poems to add that extra little touch is my guilty pleasure !
Your wedding ceremony is one of the most important parts of your wedding day, it is the show stopper event before the after party, and should never be typical or cliche.
The beauty of a humanist or non religious wedding is that your ceremony can take place anywhere, at any time and can be as traditional or as unconventional as you like.
There is no script ...........
Falling in love with someone is the most wonderful feeling and it truly feels as magical as all the fairytales tell us it will. To find that soulmate, that forever friend that you trust and cherish unconditionally is something most everyone dreams of.
Sharing that love with friends and family can only be demonstrated fully by a Celebration of Commitment.
Whether it is a traditional religious ceremony, or a more bespoke ceremony of your choice, inviting your closest family and friends to join you on your special day creates memories that last a lifetime.
Choosing to include an Alternative Wedding Ceremony allows you, the couple, to unite traditional and contemporary rituals which showcase your unique day.
You may want to include family members in such ceremonies such as Handfasting, Jumping the Broom, Unity Candle, Paper Anniversary Box, Sipping from the Quaich, Warming of the Rings, or if getting married in Spain, perhaps the Spanish Arras tradition is something you would choose.
Whatever your vision for your day holds, I hold that same vision and will support you completely.
After all, "this could be the greatest day of your life............."
I love my eyes
When you look into them.
I love my name
When you whisper it
And love my heart
When you love it.
I love my life,
Because you are the part of it.
